Worm Composting!
A big thank you to all of our classmates who worked with Mrs. Roworth today to help sort our worms from the beautiful compost they have made! Kids are welcome to feed food scraps to our little red wigglers to eat. This keeps food out of landfills AND makes useful compost for our school gardens at the same time.
As you can see from the second picture, we still have some more worms to sort from the compost.
CHALLENGE!
Can you think of a more efficient method to sort the worms from the compost? You might want to research worms and their behaviour to give you an idea. If you have a good idea you would like to try, Mrs. Roworth is excited to experiment with you!
Ask your child to name some colours in French!
Hope you have some interesting dinner table conversations!
Best,
Mrs. Maronese
