The Grade Two students are still accepting donations for their toy and book sale supporting Stephen's Backpacks. If you are able to donate any gently used items for the sale, it would be greatly appreciated. We will be attending the sale on Thurs. in the afternoon. Items will be priced between $1-$5 if your child would like to make a purchase.
In the afternoon of December 8th we will have an engineer with Scientists in Schools present a Wheels in Motion workshop. We will need 4 or 5 adult volunteers to help make the afternoon run smoothly. If you are interested in participating, please email me. [email protected]
What did you learn in school today?
We began learning winter vocabulary in French as we enter this chilly time of year. We will playing games using this vocabulary in the coming month.
We also edited our legends today in class. Students examined each sentence in their work, looking to see if the sentence was about emotions, an action, dialogue or a descriptive sentence. The students underlined each sentence with a correlating colour. It was helpful for students to have the visual to see what kind of writing they needed to add to their story.
