IMPORTANT DRUMHELLER TRIP NOTICE:
In order to accommodate some families who were not able to attend the parent session last week, we will be hosting one more session on Thursday, February 25th at 7:30am. We will finish by 7:55am. A reminder that this is a mandatory meeting, as the Calgary Board of Education requires that teachers meet face to face with student guardians before an overnight trip. If a guardian is unable to attend this meeting your child will be unable to attend the fieldtrip. He/she will be assigned to another grade 4 classroom for the two days we are gone. We look forward to seeing you next week and are counting down the days to this very exciting learning opportunity for our students!
Please contact me immediately if you are unable to attend.

What Did You Learn in School Today?
Over the next few weeks, students will be participating in literature circles. Ask your child about the book they will be reading and what their first "job" will be at meeting 1.
We did a lesson with the "Magic Pot" today by Lily Toy Hong.
What was Mr. Haktak's Magic Pot rule? The students used T charts and symbols to create their own magic pot rules to stump their friends.

Can your child make a new rule for the magic pot? If given 5 examples of what goes into the pot and what comes out, can you guess the new rule?
Have a good evening!
