Your kiddos should sleep well tonight!
This morning we went on our community walk to Fish Creek Park. Once there we looked for human and natural waste, made observations of local plant communities, and created a natural art piece.
The kids loved looking for interesting plants and had great questions about them. We learned about galls, larch trees, and saw different types of fungi. Overall, it was a very successful trip and the kids were a wee bit tired by the time we came back!
This afternoon, we spent our second day with the museum on the go! We learned about rancher John Ware and farmer Sam Livingston. What can your child tell you about these two important Alberta Mavericks? We also investigated some artifacts. Can your child tell you what they are and how they were used (see the picture below)?
