In Math today students worked to solve word problems that involved different fractions of a set. An example of one of the problems was: There are 10 boys in a class. 2/5 of the class is boys. How many students are in the class? Wor
We also discussed how 1/4 of one class may be a different number than 1/4 of another class. Talk together tonight about why this might be the case. We used different sized pizzas to help us to understand this.
In Social Studies we learned what a tableau is and how they can be used as a way of telling a story. Tomorrow we will present our tableaus to the class and reflect on using tableaus as a way of telling stories.
