We also worked with a guest speaker from the Calgary Zoo today to learn about plants and weeds, and how to recognize weeds in our gardens. Students then had the opportunity to find some weeds and remove them from the naturalization area.
We ended the day learning about competing land use and are preparing a debate about how land in Alberta should be used. Students have been divided into two groups, the mixed farm group and the ranchers. They have to present their case to the Canadian government over which use of land would be best for Alberta.
Reminders:
Please work to complete your assignments in Mathletics for 20 minutes
Students also need to read their book for 15 minutes.
Have a wonderful evening!
