In Math today students had the opportunity to calculate the areas of different objects. Students chose different congruent shapes and used those shapes to figure out the area of the objects they chose. Some of the objects students measured were, floor tiles, bottom of their desk bins, a cupboard door. We then gathered and discussed that it is easier to understand area if we are all using standard measurements. We will continue to work with area tomorrow.
In Social Studies we studied different artifacts to help learn more about the Blackfoot peoples way of life. Through looking at object based inquiry, students made observations and inferences about different artifacts.
Please continue to practice multiplication and division facts at home.
Question of the day:
326 X 6=
After your child has calculated the product for this question, use a dice to create different three digit numbers and create your own multiplication questions to answer.
Have a wonderful evening.
