Thank you to our parent volunteers who were able to help us today with our Making things that move presentation. The students really enjoyed the hands on experiments and experiences. Tomorrow we will be reflection in our visual journals about what we learned from the different stations.
Parents,
We are aware of some recent concerns about student account security at the school. We would like to assure everyone that student accounts are secure. We are working with the students over the next few days to help them create more secure passwords, so that their profiles can remain private.
Please have a discussion with your child about not sharing their passwords or email with anybody.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's classroom teacher.
Sincerely,
The Grade 4 Team

Canstruction
Evergreen School will be participating once again in the annual Canstruction® event in December for the Calgary Food Bank. A group of grade 4 students has taken on the challenge to think like engineers, designers, architects and builders to create an extraordinary structure all out of cans of food which, after judging, will be then de-canstructed, with all food going to the Calgary Food Bank.
This year’s theme is nature. The grade 4 design team has decided to extend their learning about the regions of Alberta and build a model of the Rocky Mountains. In order to make their vision come true, they are looking for canned and boxed food donations. Specifically, they are looking for:
· Catelli 500g spaghetti
· Blue menu cans (Superstore)
· Bottled water with blue lids
· Del Monte green cans
· Great Value white canned foods
· Clover Leaf Flaked White Tuna – black label
All food donations are gratefully accepted and can be dropped off at the school office anytime next week. Thank you for your support of this project which in turn will go to support needy Calgarians.
Have a wonderful evening!
