In Math we worked to create a chart that helped us to show division facts up to seven. The task students had to work on was to help families know which sized candy box would be a good fit for their family so that all family members could share the candies equally.
In Social Studies students used the textbooks to look at the different regions in Alberta. Once students had an idea of what each region is like they then chose a region that they wanted to look into further. This will be the region that they will be investigating.
Tomorrow students will begin taking jot notes about their regions.
In Writing we have started to explore different Fairy Tales. Today we read a traditional version os Snow White. Students were surprised by some of the differences that are in this traditional story as compared to the Walk Disney version. Tomorrow we will create the story map for this story.
Reminders:
Book orders are due October 16, 2015
Homework:
I have assigned division homework on Mathletics
Students should be reading for 20 minutes tonight.
Have a wonderful evening.
