Today we went full speed ahead creating our dioramas. Students worked diligently creating the domain for Ivan the main character in our read aloud book titled The One and Only Ivan. I can see from their work that they are able to visualize how the domain might look and add many details that make their dioramas an accurate depiction of Ivan’s home as it was described in the story.
We had our last drumming lesson. I can tell from all the rhythms the students are sharing with me, that they had an exciting week learning about drumming.
Student led conferences are tomorrow - and the students in room 58 couldn't be more excited to share their work! Just so you are prepared, students have a "Passport for Learning" that will guide their conversations with you. They will not only be showing off, but will have opportunities to make things with you and to solve problems. You will have an opportunity to see what students are learning, what they are making, and even how they are thinking!
Question of the Day:
What are you excited about doing during Spring Break?
Have a wonderful evening.
Mrs. Predika
