We need your help, parents! We are looking for volunteers for the following dates:
- Tuesday June 23rd at 1:30pm. We will be doing a school-wide practice evacuation walk to Our Lady of Evergreen. We will need at least 2 volunteers to accompany our class
- Wednesday June 24th at 8:30 AM we will be doing our grade 3 walk to Fish Creek Park/Year End Celebration. Again, we need as many volunteers as we can. Please email me if you can help with either of these dates! Thank you.
Today in Math we worked with the data we collected in yesterday's Math class. We surveyed fellow classmates to discover how many birthdays we had in each month of the year. We discovered that we have no birthdays in November! We also were able to show which months had the most birthdays. Today we took our data and created bar graphs. We had criteria that we needed to meet to create our bar graphs. We needed to include:
-Accurate data
-A title that fit with what the bar graph was showing
-Labels, one for number of students, and one for months of the year
-a scale for the number of students with birthdays
-coloured bars
-It had to be neat so that it was easy to read
In Social studies today we continued to investigate different organizations that help people out around the world. See our Social Studies tab to learn more about the different organizations.
Question of the day:
As a global citizen what organization do you think would be the best one to support, and why?
Spelling test is Friday
Have a wonderful evening.
