We jumped right back into learning today! In Daily Five many students chose to work on writing, where they could write about some of the activities they participated in over the long weekend.
Students should be bringing home their spelling tests from last week with thier new words written on the back.
In Math today we completed a chart which asked students to take a closer look at 3-D solids. They recorded their observations on the chart. They needed to discover how many faces, verticies, edges different solids have.
In Science we explored a new set of centers designed to activate students prior knowledge of working with materials and building things. Some of todays challenges were to build the tallest structure with tin foil. Students also worked to create a dome, out of straws and connectors. There was a lot of excitement and students explored the materials with their groups.
Spelling words this week: Please note there are two review words for group three. They were new words for them last week and it was a short week so we are going to practice them again this week.
