Today we went full steam ahead with our Social Studies research. Students are working at their own pace gathering information about their different regions. Some students are busily taking jot notes, other students are spending time reading information and then going back and taking the jot notes for their different topics.
In Math today students worked to consolidate their understanding of multiplication and division facts. Students will be working through a variety of questions and problems to demonstrate that they are able to use the strategies we have been working with to answer multiplication and division questions.
In Writing today we deconstructed a Fairy Tale, and then students worked with a partner to read different Fairy Tales and will share with the class the different problems, characters and settings that were in their stories. This is part of the Writer's Cycle will allow students to explore and become familiar with the structure of Fairy Tales, so that they then will be able to create their own Fairy Tale type story.
Homework,
Students should be reading each night at home.
Continue to work on Mathletics assignement for 20 minutes.
Have a great evening.
