In Social Studies we looked at our topics and group them together into main topic and sub-topics. Students then chose their topics that they will be researching. Each student will be making a textbook page so it is important to make sure that we have all the important topics that we wanted in our text books covered. We will begin to research for our topics starting on Monday.
Diorama.
We will begin to build our dioramas on Monday next week. Our work tomorrow will be to generate a marking rubric together. This will allow students to know what will be expected for this project.
In Writing today we continued to look at using story maps. Students worked with a partner to read a picture book and create the story map for the picture book that they read.
Hop for Muscular Dystrophy!
Students at Evergreen School are raising money for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. We will be hosting a "Hop for Muscular Dystrophy" on March 11th and 12th during gym classes.
Online Donations can be made on the Evergreen School Team Website. If your family wishes to set up a personal fundraising page, click the "join team" link.

Go to muscle.ca to learn more. Funds will be accepted until Wednesday March 18.
All students who participate in the fundraising will be entered in a draw for fabulous prizes.

Bring in an empty shoe box.
Read for 15 minutes. As you read this evening, look for a new and unfamiliar word. Find out what it means.
Have a wonderful evening.
