Welcome back! Today we had a bit of a different schedule, and we are now doing math in the morning right before lunch. We are lucky enough to have Mr. MacKenzie providing support to all the grade 4 classes during the morning. He will be working in our classrooms to support literacy and math. Today was our first day with different math groups and it went great!
In Social Studies students are working to communicate their learning about their regions in a variety of ways. They have decided on their exit projects and are working to finish writing of their paragraphs and creating their projects.
In writing students have been working on their fairy tale story maps.
We started just planning which fairy tale that they wanted to base their own stories on, thinking about their characters, settings and problem, as well as how their problem will be solved in the end. We are now going to complete the story maps by filling in the three events that work towards solving the problem. The children are very excited to get started on this part of the process! We will have time tomorrow to work on this.
Reminders:
Please enjoy reading this evening for 15 to 20 minutes!
Please review your multiplication facts and related division facts up to 9. This will help us as we move in to multiplication and division of larger numbers.
Book orders are due next Friday.
Have a wonderful evening.
