What an exciting Monday! Today students started our math project involving flyers. Students were engaged and excited as they put their addition and subtraction skills to work. Each student was given a budget of $999 to spend on any items they wanted. Some students were purchasing electronics, furniture for a bedroom, food, and much more. Students were asked to show their strategies and are creating a poster while they work containing all the objects they have purchased. We will continue with this later this week.
Tomorrow is our field trip to the Glenbow Museum! Today we talked about appropriate behavior at the museum (no running, no shouting, no touching the objects). Please read through the following reminders for tomorrow
- Students will ONLY be bringing their lunchkits to the museum with them. Water bottles will need to be placed inside their lunchkits (at the request of the Glenbow).
- We will be leaving the school at 9:00 am, and returning to the school around 2:30
- Volunteers need to be at the school at 8:45 am
Looking forward to tomorrow, it is going to be a great day!
Have a wonderful evening.
