Today in Science we learned all about properties of objects. As a class we tried to guess two of the mystery objects I brought in. On Wednesday students will share their various mystery objects and describe them to their tablemates. Students will be describing their objects to their peers by providing clues about the properties of their objects. (texture, shape, colour, size, and so on). Later this week we will be looking at the different properties of various rocks!
In Social Studies we continued to learn about Peru and Tunisia. We started by reading with a partner and recording two interesting facts that came from the paragraphs we read. We are learning how to deconstruct a paragraph by pulling out the facts that we think are most important.
In writing today many students have started to edit their stories for capitals, ordinary and overused words, punctuation and spelling.
Please note:
Spelling test will be on Thursday this week as there is no school on Friday.
Remember to bring in a mystery object for Wednesday.
Have a great evening.
