Today in writing we continued examining fairy tales by learning about "fractured fairy tales." This is where the author changes something about the story, such as the characters or setting. Today students picked a fairy tale and practiced changing the characters and the problem. We are excited to share these tomorrow and continue to create our own fractured fairy tales!
Students are welcome to wear costumes to school on Thursday, October 29th. No masks, weapons, or costumes that might scare younger students. If you would like to send a healthy snack to school with your child to share with the class that afternoon please comment below with what you will bring. For example: cheese and crackers, fruit tray, veggie tray, juice etc. Plates and napkins would also be appreciated! Please read what others are bringing to coordinate.
WE SCARE HUNGER! The grade 4's are leading an initiative at Evergreen school this year where we will be "trick-or-treating" around to the classrooms to collect food for the Calgary Food Bank. Please send any non-perishable food items to school with your child tomorrow as we will be collecting all donations!
Scholastic book orders are due tomorrow!
Please also continue to send back our inline skating forms. The dates for our class are below. Please dress appropriately and bring helmets on the following days:
- Monday, November 2
- Tuesday, November 3
- Thursday, November 12
- Tuesday, November 17
Have a great night!
