The classroom store was back in business today, and many more items were sold! Students have been working hard at using a budget and calculating how much money they can spend on which items. Students were given a chance to justify why they bought certain items; such as buying a bigger couch to fit more people, or buying the smaller couch so they could also buy two chairs.
We have lots of future geologists on our hands, and students have been BEGGING to bring in rocks to show the class. Tomorrow we will have a “rock show and tell” day. Students can bring a rock to school to discuss with their tablemates. Be prepared to talk about the properties of the rock, and guess which type of rock it is.
Tomorrow is Jersey Day. Please wear any jersey you have! This can include a jersey supporting a favourite team or a jersey you have from any team sports you’ve played on. If you don’t have a jersey but still want to participate, then wear green to show your support for Team Evergreen!
Below is a message from our grade ones:
It's that time of year again...the Grade 1s will be putting on a Used Toy and Book Sale to help raise money to fill backpacks for children in need throughout the Calgary area. We will be collecting gently used toys and books starting December 1-3. The sale will be held all day on December 4 ending at 4:00. If you would like to come check out the sale after school you are more than welcome. We will also have a donation jar if you do not have any items for the sale. The grade 1s thank you for your support!

Have a great night!
