What time is it?? Today in math students spent some time examining clocks and reviewing how to tell time. We were able to make connections to multiplication and fractions (quarter to 4, etc.). Students learned the difference between digital clocks and analoge, and recorded what they do at various times of the day. This will help us tomorrow as we explore some problems involving time (minutes, hours, days, months, years).
Students were introduced to Google Documents today! This is a very valuable learning tool that can be used in numerous ways in the classroom! We are very excited to start collaborating and sharing with google documents. This is connected to the CBE email that is assigned to each child. We will be continuing to explore this throughout this week.
Reminders
We still need 3 volunteers for Teacher's Pet next Wednesday at 12:30 pm. Please let me know if you can help us out!
Teacher's Pet forms and payment are due by this Friday, June 5
Scholastic book orders due Monday June 8
Question of the Day
If the big hand is at the 9 and the small hand is at the 4, then what time is it? Is there more than one way you could say this?
Have a great night!
