Today in math students were introduced to three different 3D objects: cylinders, cones and spheres. They compared and contrasted some of the similarities and differences between these and the other 3D objects we have learned about. Students were then given an assortment of 3D objects and were asked to create a sorting rule either about the faces, edges or vertices and then sort the objects. Next week we are looking forward to going on a scavenger hunt for different types of 2D shapes and 3D objects around the school.
