Today during math we discussed the differences between centimeters and meters and got a chance to measure things all around the room using meters! Students worked together in partners and were given a measuring tape to measure various distances around the room. Some of the more challenging tasks were the length and width of the classroom! This was a tricky task, as students also needed to use 3 digit addition to keep track of the total distance while they were measuring. See below for some pictures.
This morning we enjoyed a special whole-school presentation about Muscular Dystrophy. As a school we will be participating in a “HOP for Muscular Distrohpy” which is a national fundraising initiative. Students were sent home today with a letter explaining some more about the initiative, as well as a pledge form. Please keep in mind that any donation amount is appreciated, and this fundraising is completely optional.
Several families have not sent in payment for the Brier or Swimming. Please note that this must be in to the school by Friday February 27th.
Question of the Day
From your KWL chart in social studies, what is one thing you want to learn about India?
Have a great night!
