Today in art students started a geometric art project, and we specifically discussed how we can use line and colour to create contrast. Students started by drawing as many overlapping 2D objects as they could fit on their paper. This included various sizes of circles, quadrilaterals, triangles, etc. Our next steps are to outline our shapes in black and then to use oil pastel to fill in each section of our artwork with a different colour. The end result is a vibrant, colourful abstract piece!
Students were sent home with an invitation for our Literacy Lunch next Friday Feb. 27. Please RSVP if your family is planning to attend.
Please continue to send back Brier and Swimming forms. They are due back this Friday February 20th.
Question of the Day
Pick an object from your house and measure the length with a non-standard unit. What did you choose and why?
Have a lovely evening!
