Today during Social Studies we started examining our next country, Tunisia. We made some interesting connections between our lives here in Canada and life in Tunisia. Houses look different, streets are more crowded, buildings are built differently, people dress differently, people eat different foods, and have different jobs. Ask me about Tunisia tonight!
In writing we have been continuing to explore interesting story beginnings. Today we focused on starting our stories with a sound. We brainstormed as many sound words as we could (onomatopoeia’s) and used them to start our stories. There were three different picture prompts to choose from, and students created some amazing story beginnings!
Scholastic book orders were sent home today. They are NOT mandatory. They will be due next Wednesday Nov. 26. If you would like to order something as a gift and want me to let you know when it arrives, please send me an email.
Have a wonderful weekend!
