Students continued to become experts on their chosen insect or amphibian today, and they are getting really good at reading information and pulling out the important facts. This is a tricky skill, but all our work with researching and taking jot notes in social studies has really helped students with this science project. After finishing research, students will be working on a larger project about their animal...details to come!
Students also continued their story writing today. Our beginnings are well on their way, and students are remembering to use interesting beginnings such as sounds or actions. Students are working through self, peer and teacher assessments before they start typing their beginnings on the computer.
