This afternoon in social studies we looked at a timeline of Alberta and briefly talked about some of the ways our province has changed over the years. We are moving forward with our study of Alberta by talking about the First Nations Peoples. Students will be starting a project tomorrow working in small groups to become an expert in a specific area, and we also have the Blakfoot Museo kit from the Glenbow Museum coming soon!
During writing students continued to work together with their groups to collaboratively write the script for their shadow play. We are learning lots about teamwork and working together as a group. Using puppets to act out each scene is also helping us to visualize the plot and add descriptive details. We will be continuing to work on this in the coming weeks.
Please note that mini sticks are not to be brought to school for the rest of this week. There have been an increase in injuries and rough play involving mini sticks, and as a result the whole school has been asked to keep them at home. Thank you for your cooperation.
Question of the Day
What is one way Alberta has changed over the years?
Have a great night!
