Today students got a chance to prepare for our upcoming Artist in Residence. Together in partners students worked through an online scavenger hunt. Next week we will have 2 artists come into our class to work with us. We will be studying Picasso and his blue period, as well as examining Cubism. Students will be connecting this to our Social Studies by picking an artifact from one of the countries to examine in detail.
In math today students continued to explore division. Using a variety of manipulatives students have been able to get a good grasp of what division really means, and how we can relate division facts to their related multiplication fact. We touched on fact families today, and will continue to discuss them in the coming days.
If you would like to order basil from our Kinder’s to help support Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (link here) please send back your completed order form. If you need one please let me know.
