We had a great Thursday in Grade Three! Today in our Daily 5, we got a chance to pick which centres we wanted to work on. We did a great job with this and we were working quietly the whole time. Awesome job Grade Three! A reminder that there will be a spelling test tomorrow!
Today in Science we continued our investigation of Sound by talking about how our ears hear sound. We learned that there are three main parts of the ear: the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. Each part of our ear is responsible for different parts of the hearing process, and we realized why it is so important to take good care of our ears and be careful around loud sounds!
In Math this afternoon we finished parts 2-5 of the SLA Performance Assessment. We worked so hard and did a great job demonstrating our knowledge. Afterwards we went outside for a well earned recess break. We ended off the day with talking about the Writing Process, and focused on the Edit, Revise, Proofread, and Publish steps of the process. We took our writing from yesterday about "The Important Book" and edited for capital letters, periods and misspelled words. Then the students published a good copy in their notebooks. They looked fantastic!
Have a great night!
