Welcome back! I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend. Today we welcomed a new student to our class, and we also started the computer part of the Math SLA’s today. We are working on them in small groups, and today some of us started them while the rest of the class worked on Daily 5 with Mrs. Predika’s class. We are working through them during literacy and math centres and we will be continuing to do them throughout the rest of the week.
Today in Science we also compared the range of hearing in humans to that of other animals, such as dogs and bats. We worked through an online simulation showing different animals’ responses to different pitched sounds. For each animal, we picked a different frequency (high or low) and had to predict whether the sound would be in their hearing range or not. Take a look at the simulation at home!
