This morning students were given their literacy centre groups and worked through a full literacy centres schedule! Today was our "practice day" and students worked hard at their various centres. We did need to have some discussions about staying on task and "hitting the target" even when the teacher isn't right there watching you. We will continue to work with setting personal goals and hitting the target during centres.
Recycle, recycle, recycle!! Students have been working so hard on their recycling projects, and they are really pumped up about getting the rest of the school as excited about recycling as we are! We have a couple reminders regarding recycling:
- Please start to bring in any cardboard boxes (cereal, juice, crackers, etc) for a book making project
- Please send in any recyclable items that we could use as a "maker" station where students can build and create things from recycled materials. For example, milk jug lids, yogurt containers, etc.
Other reminders
- Please continue to send back student information envelopes that were sent home the first week of school
- Scholastic book orders are due this Friday. CHEQUE only please, and make payable to "Scholastic Canada"
Question of the Day
Use the digits 3, 7, 8, 9.
Write all the 4 digit numbers greater than 7000.
Order them from least to greatest.
Have a great night!
