Today in gym students got an opportunity to practice obstacle courses for our upcoming sports day! The gym was transformed into various challenges, and students had to work together with a partner to navigate the obstacles. We emphasized that is was a challenge not a race and that students were encouraged to try their best. We are excited for the upcoming Muddless Mudder!
Students spent some time this morning reflecting on our literacy centers. They were asked to answer 3 questions:
1. My favourite literacy centre was _________ because ___________.
2. The centre I improved the most at was ___________because ___________.
3. Next year I would like to work on _____________ because ____________.
This self reflection has proven to be very valuable, and students are already excited to set some goals for next year!
Please see the following upcoming dates. If you are able to volunteer for Sports Day on Friday (and have a current police security clearance) please let me know!
Tuesday, June 23: Evacuation walk at 1:30 pm
Wednesday June 24: Fish Creek Park at 8:30 with all the grade 3's. We will be enjoying a picnic lunch, and plan to return to the school shortly after noon.
Friday June 26: Muddless Mudder (Sports Day)/Last Day of School.
Question of the Day
What is the literacy centre you improved the most at this year? How did you improve?
Have a great night!
