Wow, it's June already?! Students had a very successful day today. In math students had their last work period to finish their "Fraction Avenue" project. This is now homework and is to be completed by Friday of this week. For students looking for extra math work, there is some extra practice with fractions on mathletics for students to complete.
To further our studies around Global Citizenship we discussed the UN and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Students learned about the type of organization the UN is, and worked together in their table groups to learn about specific rights in the convention. For example, every child has the right to food and water, or the right to a healthy life. The next step will be to have students share their findings with their peers and learn from one another to build their understanding
Reminders
- Bike to school day is tomorrow! Students can bring their bikes to the gym doors starting at 7:45.
- Forms and payment for Teacher's Pet are due by this Friday June 5
Question of the Day
To you, what does it mean to be a global citizen?
Have a lovely evening!
