This afternoon in math we spent some time reviewing 2D and 3D shapes, while comparing and contrasting similarities and differences. Then we went on a scavenger hunt throughout the school to see how many objects we could find. We kept track using tally marks and we were amazed at how many quadrilaterals we found throughout the school.
Some students are bringing home their social studies posters. Please have these completed and back to school by Wednesday.
Important notices:
1. A green permission form was sent home today regarding our whole school field trip to the Tim Hortons Brier at the Saddledome. This is taking place on Wednesday March 4th . Please sign and return consent forms ASAP.
2. A list of first names of every student in the class was also sent home today. If your child would like to bring in Valtneines they MUST bring one for every child in the class (there are 25 students total). This is not mandatory. We will be handing out Valentines at a designated time in the afternoon on Wednesday February 11. If you would like to bring a healthy snack to share with the class, please comment on the blog below with what you would like to bring.
3. Please note that swimming lessons for our class and Mrs. Predika's class will be on March 2, March 3, March 5 and March 6. Swimming times for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are from 10:30-11:45 AM. On Friday March 6 we will depart Evergreen School at 9:50 and leave the Canyon Meadows Pool at 11:00. We will be back at school on Friday in time for our 11:15 dismissal. We would like to start getting an idea of how many parents will be available to volunteer. If you already have your security clearance and you would be available to volunteer for any/all of those days please send me an email. Consent forms will be sent home tomorrow.
Question of the Day
