Another busy day in room 51! This morning students started off another great week of goal setting during literacy centers. Students were focused and engaged during centers this morning. Your child is coming home with an orange piece of paper today with some extra spelling practice. This is to be worked on at home throughout the week.
During math today we revisited 2 and 3 digit subtraction. In preparation for our flyer project this week, we reviewed the base 10 strategy. Revisiting the same concepts throughout the year really helps the kids to develop a strong understanding. Students did some self-reflecting and realized they needed some review with re-grouping questions. After spending some time reviewing various strategies, we will put them to use with our flyer project later this week.
Glenbow Museum field trip forms and payment are due back tomorrow. Please return them as soon as you can.
Reminders
Tuesday, April 28: Artist in residence in the PM
Wednesday, April 29: Photo Day
Thursday, April 30: Artist in residence in the PM
Thursday, April 30: Occupational therapist in the PM
Question of the Day
What did you learn from your science experiment today? Which type of beam held more weight? Why?
Enjoy the lovely weather tonight!
