Today we read some interesting news articles about the recent spacecraft landing on comet 67! We learned about comets, and connected that to our current Science unit about Rocks and Minerals. We looked at some of the first pictures sent back to earth from Philae (the spacecraft) on the comet, and also heard a short video clip of what the comet sounds like! We connected this to our previous Science unit on Hearing and Sound, and realized that the original sound was actually at a frequency well below what humans can hear. Researchers boosted the sound to within human hearing range so we were able to listen to it.
