Our class has been reading the novel Wonder with Mrs. Frampton's class for the past few weeks. We have talked about "precepts" and today each student came up with a precept that was meaningful to them and recorded it, along with why they chose it and an illustration. We are looking forward to reading each other's precepts and discussing their importance next week.
Students have also started to make the notebooks we will be selling as a school fundraiser for our Drumheller trip. Please continue to send in any cardboard (cereal boxes, cracker boxes, cleaned juice cartons) so that we can continue to make them. Also, if you have any one-sided paper that doesn't have any sensitive documents on the other side, feel free to send that in as well! The goal is to use as much recycled/reused material as possible. Check out the "Waste in our World" tab on the side.
Important information about School Applications and Open Houses:
Applications are opening on Jan. 11th and Open Houses are approaching. These are a few of the schools that my students have attended in the past. Just because a school has an application process does not mean it is the best choice for your child or a "better" school. Open houses are the best opportunity for you to experience the culture of a school first hand.
Your child will automatically be transferred to Woodman School unless they are accepted elsewhere. You don't need to apply.
In the past, we have also gone on a field trip to Woodman School to meet other students, teachers and the principal. More information to come.

Your child will be in a lottery to attend the school, unless they already have a sibling in attendance.
