Our class alone donated well over $40 for the Terry Fox run, thank you to everyone who helped out, and thank you to every student who ran today!
This morning, the students were briefly introduced to their upcoming Social Studies project. They went to our Social Studies project page and followed the links to this site. While there students explored the animals, plants, bodies of water, landforms, and all of those things that make each region unique. Afterwards, the groups gave their first, second, and third choices for which region they would like to study. Most groups got their first choices.
In the next month or so we are going to be examining each region through multiple lenses. It should be fun! If you have an opportunity to talk to your children about the region they are studying, feel free to learn about it together or remind them of shared experiences (if you've been to that region). The regions they were assigned are listed below.
Upcoming Dates:
-Parent Teacher conferences are TONIGHT and Tomorrow! We are excited to see you.
-There is no school tomorrow.
-Monday, September 28th: We will be participating in the "Wild About Weeding" program where we will learn about upkeep for the naturalization area in our school.
-Monday, September 28th: The Museo Kits from the Glenbow will arrive, however, our class will not get them until October 5th.
Question of the Day:
-What kind of a learner are you?
