Hello everyone!
Today we had lots of special guests in our classroom. Ms. Smith helped us finish up our friendship paper fortune tellers with Miss. Tennis's class. Ask me how to use and play my paper fortune teller!
We learned a new and fun activity using dice to practice our spelling words. In Math we are working on solving real life problems using multiple operations we have been learning. Today we worked on a problem called Fair Share where students had to determine how many pizzas a classroom of 28 students would need, if each pizza had 6 slices and each student got 2 pizzas. We discovered that there are different strategies in solving this problem. We will continue working on various math problems that challenge our thinking and require using different operations.
In Social we are inquiring about the interesting customs and traditions of various countries. The students are interested in the different languages spoken in countries, so we are excited to learn some useful words and phrases in these languages.
Reminders: Spelling quiz tomorrow! We are still needing volunteers for our next full day field trip to Fish Creek Park - Bow Valley Ranche location on Monday, March 13. If you are able to join us, please send Mrs. Wilcox an email. Thank you very much.
Have a great evening!
Ms. Trgina
