Today we started off in Music. We practiced our recorders. Ask me what song I practiced.
After Music we continued our Language Arts unit, Nature Watch. We went outside and looked at man-made structures. We talked about what they are, some examples, and then drew one in our Visual Journals. We then drew what it would look like if man hadn’t come along and made the structures, and talked about how we can live in balance with Nature. Next class we will start our book called Dream. What do you think it could be about?
After snack we talked about what area and perimeter are. We learned to find the perimeter we need to add together all sides, and to find area we do length multiplied by width. We tested our new knowledge by measuring shapes that were taped on the floor with masking tape.
In gym we played Ultimate with Mrs. Leonard’s class. Ask me how to play.
After lunch we had some computer time and we got to do mathletics and cool math games.
Miss Nicole came in again this afternoon. This time she talked to us about organizing our time and why it is important to do in middle school. She told us to time ourselves tomorrow morning to see how long it takes us to get ready!
