Comment Challenge: What was the best part of skating for you?
We had a nice time exchanging Valentine's and snacking on Tuesday afternoon. Thanks everyone for sharing and caring. Skating has kept us on the go this week. It has been a first time for many of us skating at the Olympic Oval and exciting to watch the athletes that train there. A huge thanks to the volunteers who have helped out on these outings. We have been working on Reader's Theatre performances with a focus on reading with good speed, volume and expression. Each student has a cultural story from another country. They should be able to tell about it at home. We had a random draw for those that had an interest in a speaking part for the spring musical performance. Forms were sent home for those students and practice in class and in Music is ongoing. Math will continue to review the operations studied so far and we are now moving into a combination of division and fractions which will be ongoing for the next few weeks. It's exciting that Ms. Trgina will expand her teaching role in class for the month leading up to March break - which allows me to work with small groups of kids and individuals.
Reminders: Spelling will resume next week. We have an all day field trip to the Bow Valley Ranche area of Fish Creek Park on March 13 and are looking for volunteers. Could you please let me know by email if you would be able to join us for that trip.
Enjoy the Family Day Weekend everyone,
TW
