Comment Challenge: Can you practice your own first name in cursive writing at home? Tell us if you met this challenge.
Today we learned letters c and a in cursive writing. We created the criteria for a good cover illustration for our published magic bike stories. Everyone should know the target for a great cover illustration. We prepared for testing the luster of rocks by writing the experiment. Later this week we will test for hardness and write the experiment ourselves. In Math we worked on some subtraction from 100 using book orders. Can you make sure to line up the ones, tens and hundreds when you make the equations. Making the equations horizonatally and vertically is important.
Reminders: Book orders came home today. They are due on Friday, Dec. 9. Yellow skating forms should be returned by Dec. 9. Spelling words on the blog. Quiz on Friday, Dec. 9. Happy birthday in December to Emmerson on Dec. 6, Krishna on Dec. 13 and Jaida on Dec. 12. Students will likely be spending time indoors this week because of the cold weather. Please dress for the weather to travel to and from school If the wind chill is warmer than -20, students typically go outside, so warm outdoor clothing is so important.
See you tomorrow,
Mrs. Wilcox
