Good Afternoon,
Today we had another another presentation from Miss Nicole to help with our transition to middle school. We talked about setting goals and creating steps to help us reach those goals. We also spent time working in groups and developing skills in group work. We were given the task of creating a structure out of king pieces that each group member could put there foot in. Some of us had to make a a few structures before finding one that worked. Ask me what my structure looked like.
In Science we looked at the life cycle of a chick. Did you know on the first day of their life cycle a chicken weighs 0.0002g? One of Ms. Siegfried's friends sent us videos of some chicks in her classroom that were hatching today, so we were able to see what it looks like!

Our school is participating in a community walk to support the ALS Society of Alberta on Thursday, June 1, 2017. This is a cause that has directly impacted our school this year. Approximately 3 000 Canadians live with ALS. There is no known cause or cure for this devastating disease - yet.
All proceeds from our walk will stay in Alberta to make each day the best possible day for people living with and affected by ALS. Please use the link below if you would like to make an online donation. Our School ALS Donation Page with the ALS Society of Alberta: EVERGREEN FOR ALS . We thank you for your support!
Parents and community members are invited to join us at Evergreen School on Thursday June 1st from 6:00pm to 7:00pm for an informative session with Dr. Lawrence Korngut.
