Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
Today was a musical day where we looked at and listened to some traditional instruments from Peru. The two instruments students had the opportunity to build were a Cajon drum and a Pan Flute. Students did some catch up work in reflecting from our Science field trip to Fish Creek and before we knew it the day was over!
Next week will be a short week because we do not have school on Thursday and Friday and Spring Break is from Thursday March 23- April 2. We will be preparing for student led conferences which are on Thursday from 8:00am until 8:00pm. Students will be also be preparing for our special assembly on Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Healing, who's last day with us at Evergreen School will be on Wednesday.
Students can continue working through the math tasks on Mathletics at home. It is wonderful to see the students excited to use this tool to help them build their math operational skills. Here is the link to Culturegrams our Social Studies online resource we have been using if students want to explore at home. You will be linked to the Learn Alberta Online Reference Center. It is in alphabetical order so you scroll down to Culturegrams and select Explore in the green box named Kids Education in the upper right hand corner. We learned today that you can have the text read out loud!
