Comment Challenge: Can you name the different hip hop dance moves you have learned for your dance routine?
Happy Wednesday everyone,
Students are perfecting their hip hop routine with Sound Kreations! It is so enjoyable to watch them dance and get funky!
Today in Math we learned that we can use the strategies for multiplication to help us understand division which are repeated subtraction, array, skip counting, and sharing in equal groups. Ask me to explain the strategies we learned to use for helping us understand and solve division facts.
In Science students completed writing their Testing Arches Experiment and did a self assessment of their areas of strength and areas needing improvement. We are seeing lots of improvement in the detail of students' conclusions.
In Social Studies we made mind maps celebrating the cultural traditions of the different countries. Together as a class we will make one big mind map of all the countries. Almost all students are finished weaving their carpets. We hope to have them completed by the end of this week to hang and admire in our classroom.
Please check out the Science link of our blog to find out about our upcoming visit to Fish Creek Park.
Reminders: Could students please make sure to have a set of their own headphones for at school to use during individual computer activities. It was another very chilly and snowy morning and afternoon so make sure to bring lots of warm clothing so you are able to enjoy your recess and lunch time outside without being cold. We are still looking for any last minute volunteers for Fish Creek on Monday the 13. We would really love if you could join us, parents. Please email if you are able to volunteer.
Have a wonderful evening. Stay warm. See you tomorrow!
