In Math today, we started looking at decimals. For practice tonight have your child show 2/10 as a decimal or 7/10. Challenge them and ask what the percentage of each is.
After lunch, the group with permission started our Human Sexuality lesson around puberty changes. We did an activity called "Three's company in the body" and discussed body, thought and relationship changes. The other students not participating are working on a health project to share with the class next week.
Human Sexuality group have homework tonight called "Ask an Adult" please take time to do this.
Notice coming home "The Lunch lady form" (See info. below)
Dear Evergreen Families,
A notice will be coming home today about a special lunch this Thursday.
School Council has decided to offer a trial run of a lunch program as an option to consider for next year (this would be in lieu of our current hotlunches.net program). We have chosen two dates in the remaining months of the school year: May 12th and June 16th. Participation in the program is completely optional, and available to students in grades 1 through 4.
In order to place an order you must create your own account at www.thelunchlady.ca. The Lunch Lady takes full responsibility for all orders, payments and meal deliveries thereby limiting the number of parent volunteers required. Once you have set up an account you can then choose from a variety of healthy lunch options for your child(ren).
Some program highlights:
Have a wonderful evening.
