Today we spent a lot of time on our posters for Social Studies. The main point of this project is to learn how to take, receive, and use feedback. We are thrilled to say that kids are actually using the advice that peers and teachers are giving them! As a result, their posters are loaded with great ideas and thoughtful designs.
Kids were thoughtful as well when they crafted a variety of shapes using geoboards today. Please remember that as you look at their work below, shapes have different names based on their number of sides:
A polygon with 3 sides is a triangle.
A polygon with 4 sides is a quadrilateral.
A polygon with 5 sides is a pentagon
A polygon with 6 sides is a hexagon.
A polygon with 8 sides is an octagon.
Tomorrow we are thrilled to give kids back their letters and to watch their faces as they read our responses!
Question of the Day:
How many quadrilaterals are there in the photos of student work below?
