We've made it to the end of the week! We can proudly share that all of the students held it together and that outstanding learning happened right until the very end when we found our best work! (Well, then we devoured cupcakes for a birthday celebration!).
Today we worked in IRIS and prepared students for the student led conferences tomorrow. In IRIS, students shared a new artifact and answered some questions posed by their teachers, the administration, or teachers in different grades. Our learning community truly is special. We love how many dedicated contributors there are to helping with our students' education!
Student led conferences are tomorrow - and the kids couldn't be more excited to share their work! Just so you are prepared, students have a "Passport for Learning" that will guide their conversations with you. They will not only be showing off, but will have opportunities to make things with you and to solve problems. You will have an opportunity to see what students are learning, what they are making, and even how they are thinking!
Over the break the learning does't have to stop! We have some dedicated bloggers who genuinely enjoy sharing their work and their learning. (Hover your mouse over "Student Projects and Clubs" on the left). Most recently, one of our students has boarded a plane to Vietnam, and she has started sharing her adventures (http://teamevergreen.weebly.com/vietnam).
Question of the Day:
What are you excited about doing during Spring Break?
