Students worked hard on using technology to enhance their social studies writing. They've been trained on using Microsoft Word Templates and on implementing text features to enhance their presentation. Student work in finding important details from non-fiction sources has seriously improved over the past 2 weeks, and we are excited to see their final products!
We thought our praying mantises were dead, but they hatched over the weekend and immediately went to work devouring each other's heads. We're now trying to keep them alive with gnats, fruit flies, and ground beef. As they grow we'll get the kids outside at recess capturing flies, ants, and grasshoppers.
