What a day! We learned about setting in stories. The students listened to different stories being read aloud without being able to view the pictures. Afterwards, they returned to their desks and sketched the setting. Throughout the stories, students were asked to connect with senses so that they could later use that language in a story of their own.
Math today was assessment to see how the students are doing with their division skills. Some of them finished, others will require more time on Wednesday. If students require extra practice, we have an "extra math practice" bin in our classroom that they can collect sheets and bring them home. Students can also continue their work on Mathletics.
Tomorrow we are super excited to welcome the Artists in Residence as we start our upcoming visual journaling project!
Question of the Day:
We discussed how different things trigger you to enter different zones. What is the trigger that puts you in the yellow zone?
