Today we had visits from volunteer Ms. Saga, and Ms. Smith. Many of our Magic Bike stories are now published and are now waiting to be illustrated. All students should know the targets for our work representing The One and Only Ivan. What are the critical objects in the story? We created cards for Meals on Wheels Calgary to help improve the Quality of Life of some local seniors. We created some awesome Monster Bosses for Math - like: Taco Chopper, Bob and Tech-rider. We will use these monsters to practice addition with and without regrouping. Next week, we will try a couple of new experiments for rocks and minerals. What are the birthstones that we have not identified yet?
Reminders: A yellow form about skates and helmets is coming home with students today. It is to be returned by Dec. 9. Spelling will resume next week. Dress for the weather. Some kids are still going outside without gloves or outdoor shoes. Please be prepared for outside every day. No school tomorrow.
Have a great long weekend,
Mrs. Wilcox
